About the Experience Makers Commerce Learning Series

The Experience Maker Commerce Learning Series (EMCLS) is an 8-week program all about the customer-first mindset. Inspired by a traditional MBA, the Commerce Learning Series has a few key differences. It’s free, 100% virtual, and with just 2 hours of content per week, it will easily fit into your busy lifestyle.

The program is designed for commerce executives, marketers, growth-thinkers, and changemakers that want maximum engagement and immediate, practical business value.

As an Experience Maker, you’ll:

  • Access self-paced content, live events, activities, forums, assessments, and support
  • Apply your learnings to real business problems as you go along
  • Emerge with insights, skills, and confidence to lead a customer-centric transformation

The first module in the Commerce Learning Series is Kickstart Day, which will set you on your path to success with the learning series.

This virtual event gives you the foundations and pre-work you need to confidently navigate the resources, learning approach, and LMS throughout the program. Plus, get inspired by expert keynote speaker, Martin Lindstrom.

Course 1: Bluesky thinking

Consider how brand relationships influence customer behaviour, based on your own experiences. Complete your learning plan for the rest of the program to fill in your knowledge gaps around customer-first experience.

Course 2: Understanding the customer-first mindset (CFM)

This lesson defines the customer-first mindset, what it impacts, and why it matters. Audit your business to identify any current barriers to adopting a customer-first mindset within your company.

Course 3: How to know your customer

Before you put your customer first, you need to know them and empathise with them – beyond just demographics. Learn about customer journey mapping to uncover touchpoints and create a more seamless, customer-first experience.

Course 4: The business impact of CFM

In this lesson, you’ll discover the ROI of CFM to help create a business case for investing in CX. Learn how you can increase revenue through adopting a CFM, implementing the right commerce platform, and other value creation activities.

Course 5: How to advocate for CFM

Before you can implement and use a CFM approach successfully, you’ll need to get the executives on board. This lesson walks you through how to champion change in your organisation, from building a business case to engaging each stakeholder on the CFM-related impacts that matter to them.

Course 6: Put CFM into practice

Use the CFM Boardroom Canvas to put your plan together, building on the learnings and activities you covered in the first five courses. This simple and practical model puts your key insights onto a single page, ready for implementation.
